Visit of the 2018 Mosaic Taiwan Delegation
US and Canadian participants of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ 2018 Mosaic Taiwan Fellowship Program led by Amb. Michel Ching-long Lu paid a visit to the TFD on June 13, 2018. The delegation was received by Bo Tedards, Director of International Cooperation, and Eric Yu, Director of Domestic Affairs, who introduced the vision and working programs of the TFD. Afterwards, the fellows engaged in a conversation about the TFD’s operations, including the fellowship program, political party grants, grants on human rights, international networking, and the experiences working with newly democratic countries. In addition, they raised questions about Taiwan’s election system, the democratic development in the Asian region, and the impact of China’s new NGO law. By this visit, the fellows learned about the TFD’s mission and Taiwan’s role in regional democratic development.
